These images show life in the county over the past century
Fermanagh may be the least-populated county of Northern Ireland, but that doesn't make it any less interesting than its neighbours. Between its industries, landscape and position as a border county, Fermanagh has a rich history.
Its lesser population may very well be the result of its stunning landscape, as there's less land to live on. Nearly one third of the county is covered by bodies of water, while expansive mountainous regions also have a home within its borders.
The stunning Lough Erne also resides in Fermanagh. From the 6th Century monastic settlement on Devenish Island to the tourists who come to fish or partake in watersports, its shores have attracted plenty of settlers and visitors over time.
